Introduction to Community

Most of the Dusun Lotud community lives in the districts of Tuaran and Tamparuli. Traditionally, the Dusun Lotud people are farmers, planting padi (rice). Rice plays a pivotal role in their belief system, cultures and traditions. The Dusun Lotud way of life is governed and regulated by their belief system including the way they construct their houses. Most of the materials used for making the Dusun Lotud house are from round logs, rattan for tying and plank wood for the floor and wall.
